My uncle Joe owns a photography company in Spokane (www.nuessphotography.com) and does aerial photography. Last time I was home he kindly offered to take me up on a flight. So we took off and flew all around the Spokane area for about an hour. It was pretty awesome and here are my shots:

Doe Bay Fest Fashion
There are many ways to try and capture the magic of Doe Bay Fest. In an effort to narrow it down to one aspect of the weekend I took inspiration from the Sartorialist blog and photographed some of the amazing 'fest' fashion. At one point I questioned this documentation- was it not really what Doe Bay is about? Doe Bay is about celebrating music and enjoying each other, not about fashion. But then I realized that Doe Bay is also about self expression and clothing is one of the biggest ways we express ourselves. So here are just a few of the creative looks I noticed over the incredible weekend. Let me know if you're featured and want a copy. :)

Photos of Antique Cameras
What do photographers do with a studio set up for shooting stilllifes and extra time? Photograph cameras of course. I set up a table and some lighting to photograph some artwork today and instead of just packing it all away I thought I'd take advantage and shoot something:

Sara's headshots
This week I got to take headshots of the beautiful Sara who is opening up a private practice in therapy called Sara Nied Counseling. We met at her new office on the lush Mercer slough in Bellevue and took lots of great shots. We wanted the photos to convey her personality as well as give the feeling that she is a good counselor and I think we succeeded. The images match her earthy, natural beauty and her confident sweet self. Here are my favorites:

Cabo
Just recently I got to go to Los Cabos, Mexico for work. It was a quick trip and of course a work trip, but I did get a walk on the beach and a little pool time in. Here are my favs:
The natural desert juxtaposed against a resort.
Crabs sunning themselves on the rocks.
Where we stayed.

Memorial Weekend Camping
It wouldn't be Memorial Day Weekend without the first camping trip of the year. My friends and I headed East to the Tieton River, just West of Yakima, Washington. It was a beautiful spot that I hope to go back to. It was a weekend of firsts- the first we'd been there and climbed on the Tieton cliffs, the first camping trip in the vanagon and first time rock climbing in hail! Here are my favorites:
Heading to the climbing spot through a burnt forest.
