Cover story in the Seattle Weekly

Last month I shot the a cover story for the Seattle Weekly. It was a fun shoot about Christina Rock and her children. And it was super fun to see my photo on news stands around the city. It's a very interesting article too if you'd like to read it:

Fashion Test

A week ago Sheehan Osborn and I collaborated on a fashion test shoot. We crammed into my little studio in Pioneer Square and had a lot of fun styling and shooting. Thanks to Alicia Boyd for the beautiful hair and makeup!

Tanzania Magazine Promo

Just thought I'd share my latest printed promo. It's a simple magazine format with 20 images from my adventure in Tanzania. Each image is also accompanied by a quote from my blog to add a little bit of my personal experience. I used Magcloud.com for the printing and am very happy with the quality. Thanks to Joe Smith (http://lookatjoe.com) for the cover design work!

Sara

Here are recent portraits of beautiful, pregnant Sara. She's so adorable and her happiness shines through in the photos. The laughing ones are my favorite. She's going to make a wonderful mom to that little boy coming any day!

Self Portrait

A friend recently gave me an assignment- to turn what I was personally going through into an image. Not an easy task. Somehow it became a self portrait, something I've never really done before. Here's the image I came up with. Now I need your help in deciding which crop is best. I think seeing the entire arm gives it forward momentum, where as there's a nice feeling being closer in. What do you think?

Winter Birds in the Skagit

The Skagit Valley just north of Seattle is home to thousands of birds in the winter. Now birds aren't exactly my thing, but it was quite impressive to see fields full of swans, skies full of snow geese and trees full of eagles. It's also always fun to get out and shoot and having amazing weather certainly helped. We cruised the farm roads at dawn, following the noisy quacks emerging from the fog. The fog was thick, but it rolled up and out as the sun came into the valley. Here are my favorite shots:

 Swans in the fog

A swan shot with the 600mm
