The Skagit Valley just north of Seattle is home to thousands of birds in the winter. Now birds aren't exactly my thing, but it was quite impressive to see fields full of swans, skies full of snow geese and trees full of eagles. It's also always fun to get out and shoot and having amazing weather certainly helped. We cruised the farm roads at dawn, following the noisy quacks emerging from the fog. The fog was thick, but it rolled up and out as the sun came into the valley. Here are my favorite shots:
